As a mum who has worked closely with meningitis families to advocate for policy change and universal vaccination programmes, she is committed to raising awareness of meningitis symptoms, informing and educating our community, connecting meningitis families, and working with the media, community leaders and government to protect our loved ones against this devastating disease.
Paul Gilberd A business development consultant with a heart of gold; dedicated to growing social enterprises and organisations that deliver value to the communities they serve. With a career that spans advertising, marketing, commercial property development, business consulting and general management, Paul plays a pivotal role in representing the Meningitis Foundation in the public and private sector.
Tania Wolfgramm Our miracle and gift - a meningitis/meningococcal septicaemia survivor. The person who understands most what is needed in New Zealand, Maori and Pacific Island communities and where the support is required. A powerful voice for patients and families. A strong advocate for disease awareness, multi-lingual education resources and universal immunisation programmes. Tania is a cultural psychologist/evaluator who has undertaken numerous research and evaluation projects across the health and development sectors for more than a decade. Having personally experienced the devastating effects of this disease, Tania is determined to use the resources and skills she has to fight and ultimately eliminate meningitis.
Elizabeth Hayes A medico-legal professional dedicated to ensuring the Foundation's activities remain true to our values and mission. With strong governance, she keeps the Foundation on track and provides sage counsel.
Nick Tunnicliff Having worked within the New Zealand healthcare system for well over a decade, Nick provides the Foundation with strong connections to clinicians, researchers, consultants and those at the coal face of clinical medicine.
